Eyewear Fittings

At First Eye Care, we are here to help you find the right frames that fit your lifestyle and face. It is our mission to make you look as good as you feel. Whether you’ve worn eyeglasses your whole life and are looking for a fresh new look, or if you’ve recently been told you need glasses, we can help. Our team of experts has the experience and tools necessary to ensure the frames you choose fit your face correctly and that your prescription is correct. An eyewear fitting is essential to not only provide you with the ability to see well, but to also select a style that complements your facial features and lifestyle. At First Eye Care, we offer a wide range of designer frame styles for you to choose from, allowing you to select the option that best suits your needs.

As we age, it is not uncommon for our vision to change. In many cases, this change can be very gradual. If you’ve never had to wear glasses before, blurred or distorted vision can be quite upsetting. However, thanks to technology and new trends, there are tons of stylish and comfortable eyeglasses for you to choose from. One of the first things we will do when you come into one of our three convenient locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is evaluate your eyes through an exam. This is a great way to determine what your current vision is, but also to look for common diseases of the eye. You may be wondering how this relates to an eyewear fitting. For one, if we do detect a disease like cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, or diabetic retinopathy, we may recommend a particular type of lens for your new glasses.

What Can I Expect?

When you come into one of our locations for a prescription glasses fitting, we will make sure you end up with a frame that fits your face correctly. If you have any questions about proper care of your eyes and your new glasses, we are happy to answer them. If you notice the glasses don’t feel quite right after you leave our vision center, please don’t hesitate to come back in! Minor adjustments may be necessary, and can help your glasses fit much better on your nose and ears. When your glasses don’t fit perfectly, it can result in fatigue and unnecessary stress to the eyes. It is our goal to ensure this doesn’t happen.
